Producing Fields

36 Producing fields operated by Pvt/JV are being monitored under Production sharing Contract (PSC). In the year 1994-95, six Medium Size Fields & 14 Small Size Fields were awarded under Round-I. Again in 2001, 9 Small Size Fields were awarded under Round-II. Additionally, 6 fields, which have been discovered and developed in the exploration blocks are being monitored as Discovered Fields. Contract for Ratna series has not yet been signed.

During the year 2007-08 the cumulative production from these fields is around 5.08 MMT of Oil and 7.727 BCM of gas.

Recent Developments

• In a Ravva field, M/S Cairn Energy drilled 2 exploratory, 1 appraisal and 3 injector wells. JV has notified a new discovery in well RX-82. the 3 zones in Early Miocene, Middle Miocene and Late Miocene produced oil @ 2540, 1850 and 1500 bopd with gas respectively. The discovery is being appraised by well RB-4.

• Ravva field has achieved cumulative Oil production of 200 MMB on 26.04.2008.

• In Amguri field, two appraisal wells A-10B and 11 have proved to be HC bearing in Barail formation. The gas production has increased from 50,000 m3/d to about 1, 60,000 m3/d.

• Amguri -13 has encountered HC bearing layers in Barail which are being evaluated.

• 3D has been carried out in Mukta and Mfd. Tapti for further definition of the HC pod.

• Commercial implementation of multilateral development drilling in Panna field has been done. Which gas requested in achieving production of 40,000 BOPD.

• Three wells NSA-6, 7 and 9 drilled in NSA Field have proved to be gas bearing and has requested in increase of gas production by about 802,280 m3/d.

• In Bakrol, 4 wells have been drilled, out of which one has encountered HC and others are under evaluation.

• In Lohar, 2 wells have been drilled and HC which are under evaluation.

• Oilex has started 6 wells drilling campaign in Cambay Field.

• First review meeting regarding development activities in RJ-ONN-90/1 block with M/S Cairn Energy was held on 15.05.2008.
